G-R BOOSTER CLUB 2nd ANNUAL HALL OF FAME BANQUET - 03-11-17
Mark your calendars now! The 2nd Annual Hall of Fame Banquet will be held on March 11, 2017! The Booster Club is looking for nominations to induct in the following categories: Past Athletes, Coaches, Teachers, Volunteers and Fans. Hall of Fame Banquet flyer and Nomination Form are attached to this e-mail. All nominations need to be turned in to John Olson by 02-01-17.
Help support the Class of 2017! The seniors are holding a 50/50 raffle for a fundraiser for their senior class trip. Tickets are $1.00/ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00.
You can buy tickets at the events listed below:
01-20-17: B/G Basketball vs. West Marshall
01-23-17: B/G Basketball vs. South Hardin
01-24-17: Wrestling Meet
Tickets will be for sale before the girls basketball games, half time of the girls games, between games, and half time of the boys games, as well as during the Wrestling Meet. Look for the 50/50 Raffle table near the Dollars for Scholars Cookie booth in the hall outside the G-R Main Gym. Drawing will take place during the Wrestling Meet on 01-24-17. You do not have to be present to win!

Make sure this year’s resolutions include guaranteeing your kids a balanced, nutritious breakfast every day. If your morning schedule makes this difficult, or your kids aren’t hungry early in the morning, send them to school for breakfast. Many nutritious foods are available every morning in the cafeteria for ALL students. Help your kids to make this semester a success!

For those families on a rural G-R Bus Route, your driver should give you a copy of your bus Hard Surface Route information. If you need to review this information on-line, the schedule is posted on the Gladbrook-Reinbeck website under the "District" tab. IMPORTANT REMINDER: Iowa School Alerts Announcement re: Change in Vendor and New Sign-up Information
ANOTHER IMPORTANT CHANGE: KWWL (Channel 7) and KCRG (Channel 9) no longer support their text alerts system. KWWL and KCRG replaced their text alert service with a Smart Phone App. If you wish to download the KWWL or KCRG weather apps, please go to the stations' websites for more information.
SCHOOL CLOSINGS, CANCELLATIONS OR DELAY ANNOUNCEMENTS: Radio and television stations announcing emergency school closings and/or delayed school starts or early dismissals are as follows:
Athletic practices, rehearsals and other before or after school activities are canceled when school is delayed or dismissed early.
Dear G-R Families: We are excited to have school start on Tuesday morning, 08-23-16! Just as a reminder, our school day starts at 8:20 a.m. and dismisses at 3:25 p.m. If your child would like to have breakfast at the Elementary Building or at the Junior High-High School, they are welcome to come between 7:45 and 8:15 a.m.
If you are one of G-R's rural route families, you should receive a phone call from your driver letting you know what time the bus will stop at your home in the morning and what time it will arrive in the afternoon.
If you are a G-R in-town Gladbrook family, please refer to the informational Bus Stop letter which was mailed to you after registration. Buses will be picking up students in Gladbrook between 7:25 and 7:45 a.m. Approximate bus stop pick-up times are as follows:
